- "The Dying Brigand" (American 1818-1893) - After Sir Charles Eastlake (English 1793-1865). Eastlake created a series of painting around the theme of the Brigand. They were popular enough to warrant having prints made by various publishing companies during the 1820s. Eastlake's, "The Dying Brigand" was published as a print in 1826 by Samuel William Reynolds of London. W.R. Miller produced this "after" painting in 1846 while in Buffalo, NY.
