- Herbert Hoover and Al Smith: Pair of Large Buttons. Bastian Brothers of Rochester produced this fine pair of 3 1/2" buttons for Smith and Hoover. They have metal backs with four small holes to accommodate wires for attachment to a license plate. Still, unlike other examples, neither one has been holed through the button itself. They are in excellent condition with no stains, cracks or significant defects. It is unusual to find such a nicely matched pair. (Item 19714)
