- Al Smith: Exceptionally Rare One-Day Event Button. We have never seen this 2 1/4" button before. It was issued for a rally held in St. Paul on September 27, 1928 in support of Al Smith. Given the context of the button, we assume Smith attended and addressed the meeting. It reads: "Gov. Alfred E. Smith Meeting Reception Committee Sept. 27, 1928 St. Paul Auditorium". It has a Western Badge & Novelty back paper with an 1 3/4" x 6" silk "Escort" ribbon attached. It is in mint condition. (Item 19715)
