- Franklin D. Roosevelt: Mitchell Day Button. Mitchell Day took place on October 29, 1936 and honored, we assume, the founder of the United Mine Workers of America. Philadelphia Badge produced this 1 1/4" button to commemorate the event. It shows Governor Earle of Pennsylvania, FDR and John L. Lewis, President of the American Federation of Labor. Being from 1936, it also qualifies as a presidential campaign item. It is in mint condition.mint condition. (Item 19826)
