- Original children's book illustration (undated, 1910s/20s). Lewis Baumer was a British illustrator with a relatively short career. During the first world war he worked for Punch Magazine, The Strand, and The Bystander, among others. He illustrated only a few books, specializing in gently humorous scenes of middle and upper class life. This item consists of a large color illustration (10.5" x 8.5") and a smaller black-and-white illo (3.5" x 4"). (Item 6141)
