- Description:
- "The Money Collector" - dated 1982. Carl Barks began the painting back in 1976, but did not finish it until a few years later. Upon completion, it was given to Carl's loving wife, Garé, and was not included in The Fine Art of Donald Duck book featuring the Barks paintings. Lithographs were produced in 1983 but not released until 1997, and for reasons unknown the piece was retitled "The Money Lender" at that time. This image was painted in oils on masonite measuring approximately 8" x 10", and is nicely matted and framed to an overall 15" x 17". It's listed as "9 - 76" on the backside of the art, and is in Excellent condition. From the Kerby Confer Collection. (Item 9298)
